Super Salt
Prevent Surface Waste on Maize Silage
Although ordinary salt is a very effective treatment widely used to avoid surface waste on maize silage pits it has one major drawback - a large amount is needed. A typical silage pit of 300 sq meters requires approximately 46 bags of salt.
Super Salt is an effective, less cumbersome alternative to ordinary salt at a similar price.
Super Salt is a low dust crystalline formulation of sulphite salts which inhibits the micro-organisms that cause surface waste.
Application Rate
With an application rate of just 200g per sq meter, only 3 bags are needed to treat 300 sq metres.

Super Salt is easy and quick to apply using the supplied measuring scoop. Simply spread 200g per sq meter (one level measuring scoop) of Super Salt evenly over the silage surface. On the shoulders of the pit apply 400g (two scoops) per sq meter.
For best results sheet immediately after treatment.
